The Last Boat.
The images in this story take place in Grand Bruit, La-Poile and Petites. Three communities once lived side by side on the south-west coast of Newfoundland.
Petites and Grand Bruit now sit empty. I spent the last days in Grand Bruit before the town resettled. The population dwindled, the young left to find work, the old stayed, until they could no longer.
Grand Bruit resettled in 2010. Petites in 2003, La-Poile now with a population of 93 watched as their neigbours disappeared.
